MJF (Multi Jet Fusion)
Overview
Multi Jet Fusion (MJF) is an advanced additive manufacturing technology developed by HP.
It uses a fine powder material, typically nylon, which is selectively fused layer by layer using a fusing and detailing agent.
This process produces strong, highly detailed, and functional parts with excellent mechanical properties.
Advantages
- High Strength & Durability – Ideal for end-use parts and functional prototypes.
- Fast Production Times – Significantly reduces lead times compared to traditional methods.
- Excellent Surface Quality – Requires minimal post-processing.
- Cost-Effective for Mid to High Volumes – Suitable for production runs without expensive tooling.
- Isotropic Mechanical Properties – Ensures uniform strength across all axes.
Ideal Applications
- Industrial components and casings
- Functional prototypes
- Custom fixtures and jigs
- High-wear mechanical parts
- Consumer electronics enclosures
